you've moved on
Tom Sixt 1963-1998
you've moved on...
left this world...
your family and friends...
the departure unwanted...
our years were numbered...
yet too few...
our souls, as much different as common...
bound in our journey through life...
you showed me...
each day is special...
a ripe fruit to be devoured...
not left to wither...
your shell of armor, forged over time...
shielding the vulnerable...
now cast away...
time no longer relevant...
we gather to spread its ashes...
over the land and sea that you loved...
I have returned to our home...
not to mourn...
but to celebrate life...
to remind those close...
through your memories...
you give us strength and love of life...
you've not gone...
but remain with us to share each day...
